The idea that I should write something about myself puts me in an awkward position. I can write about everything but myself now that is difficult? What is there to say when you do not know me?  Of course, I am a designer specialized in fashion and textile but I don’t want to go into that because on the one hand I find it boring to write about how amazing I am and on the other hand one can only recognise a good designer in good designs and then each person has to decide for himself. The important thing is that an idea must come from oneself – a copy is never as good as the original and therefore not authentic.

Naturally one is inspired through leafing through a selection of magazines and of course noticing what is „trendy“ but true inspiration is much more. I am inspired by a journey to another country, a language, music, my friends, white paper, famous artists, my cat and dog, a midday nap, a book, a television report, an object or a structure. I am inspired by sand by the sea, the wind, the water and sunshine, a situation, a good discussion or simply quiet. Many of my ideas come from emergency situations, an idea that makes life easier, improved or is simply very funny. Yes that’s me, that’s what I like about my work. I see, feel and think and through these feelings I express myself – and with a diploma in my pocket it is called design ...:)
